Viña Arboleda awarded with two Gold Medals at Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards 2020
During the latest edition of the Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards, a red and a white wine from the winery located in the appellation Aconcagua Valley, were honored after the evaluation of a demanding group of judges which highlighted their excellent pairing potential to Japanese cuisine.
Two wines from Viña Arboleda have once again been awarded with Gold Medals, after dazzling the Japanese female palate.
During the latest edition of the Sakura Japan Women’s Wine Awards, a red and a white wine from the winery located in the appellation Aconcagua Valley, were honored after the evaluation of a demanding group of judges which highlighted their excellent pairing potential to Japanese cuisine.
Arboleda Syrah 2016 was praised whit Gold Medal by the judges, who were surprised by the striking fresh and tasty flavors of this wine, which was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Likewise, the female judges also opted for the Chardonnay variety of Arboleda, whose 2017 vintage was also granted a Gold Medal. This wine, coming from the coastal area of the Aconcagua Valley, stands out for its great balance and its elegant and delicate structure, qualities that make it a great wine to pair with Japanese cuisine as well.
