Viña Arboleda receives important scores in the latest James Suckling report
As part of his traditional annual visit to Chile, the renowned American wine critic James Suckling, along with the magazine’s senior editor Zekun Shuai, tasted the new vintages of Viña Arboleda in February of this year.
On this occasion, the icon blend of Syrah, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Mourvedre, Arboleda Brisa 2022, stood out as one of the favorites, scoring an impeccable 93 points:
“A fresh, crisp red with crunchy fruit and fine, tight tannins that are energized by vivid acidity. A lovely and primary wine.”
Arboleda Sauvignon Blanc 2023 was also distinguished with the same score, with Suckling mentioning in this regard:
“Flinty, smoky gooseberries with touches of white sesame reduction and minerals. Interestingly, there is a Burgundy vein to this. Fresh and medium- to full-bodied, with a broad finish. Lovely texture and density.”
Meanwhile, Arboleda Cabernet Sauvignon and Arboleda Carmenere, both in their 2022 vintages, were recognized with 92 points.
Congratulations to the Viña Arboleda team that makes it possible to produce sustainable wines of consistent, world-renowned quality that reflect the purest expression of the Aconcagua Valley!
